i feel anti-blackness is a lot more IN YOUR FACE within afro-latino families
with black people i think it's more subtle...and very passive.
but my afro-dominican friend told me his grandparents told him flat out he better not bring some "black/dark nappy headed bitch" into their home.
mind you, he's black presenting himself. he looks like marlon wayans with dreds. very handsome. and ive seen his parents and grandparents. they're all black, nothing ambiguous or exotical to be found anywhere, but hellbent on "preserving" whatever it is they think exists in their family.
of COURSE he's gonna absorb some of that mess. of COURSE that shit is gonna fuck him up in the head.
