i see it a different way. i dont think acknowledging that the predominantly white (and white accepting) lgbt "community" having more privilege in any way discounts the black lqbt communities' struggles. if anything its highlighting that even as black lgbt members, we STILL get the short end of the stick. its def one of many generalized statements, not to be applied across the board to every single circumstance. it all comes down to how each person CHOOSES to interpret what's being said.
