Mileys white ass was a bit of shady for this

I'm not sure of anyone in the industry being called the vocal bible other than brandy. It's also no secret that when Britney was doing it, her contemporary, Brandy was as well. Brandy was seen as  a worthy alternative to white dominated pop music; a black artist who crossed genres and made a mark, despite the competition. She earned this title. People should respect that.
