Oh man I haven't seen or heard from Fefe in 20 years. I remember when she first got her record deal the label wanted to have their own Brandy and wanted her to fill that lane. She didn't live up to the expectation but I've got a soft spot for her for it anyway.

I think this song is actually really cute and she's giving me Avril meets Rihanna

I remember the story was Rihanna kind of took her lane and made it more pop.

This sounds like a cute early 2000's pop song.

I had remember she always liked punk rock never heard that story till now bout the label wanted her to be a Brandy and I was a stan  of Fefe! Actually thinking about it the label stripped a lot of her songs into acoustic style cause they wanted her to be a pop star so bad lol they never wanted her to be a Brandy I remember her interviews lol

I don't need to just show the receipt cause I know she was signed to Jive records to make her a pop star and I remember her original songs were too punk rock and the when some of them made the tracklist they tone down the records by stripping them. Anyways it wasn't argument but if you said Jive records wanted her to be the next Brandy prove it cause her interviews her idols was Judy Garland, Nirvana, Joan Jett etc not one time was there an urban influence so correct with proof IF I'm wrong 🥴

I don't have time to argue with someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. So I won't... I didn't say anywhere that she wanted to be Brandy or made music like Brandy's... I said that's what the label wanted when the signed her. She addressed it in interviews 20 years ago that I have no desire to dig up for you... But a quick google search of Fefe and Brandy brings up many articles about her being called "Brandy Spears" as she's a blend of Brandy and Britney.

:uhh:
