Why do we hurt ourselves in this way? It's honestly so frustrating when you know that you're sabotaging yourself but at the same time you can't stop it. It probably boils down to the subconscious belief that we are not good enough and don't deserve success & happiness, so our sobconsciousness conspires to manifest that very belief in our lives.

Anyone been through this?

i do believe a lot of people do this but it's def a blessing to have awareness of when ur actually guilty of it .

I'm eeven mindful of relatively small things. For example : If my personal goal was to be finished with something by 10AM ... and it's now 9:58am and I have one lil thing left to push before 10AM, it's gonna be pushed . Im not gonna give myself leeway of  "oh well I'm almost completely done that's good enough lol I can check social media n stuff lol "

no... the goal I set was 10AM . If I'm completely and realistically able to just finish it at 10AM why am I not sticking to my goal? If it's 10:05 and it's still not done , I've let myself down. Not because I wasn't able to do it, but because I was able and CHOSE to push my goal back a bit . Forget pleasing anyone else . This is about keeping promises - big or small- to me myself and I

that's one way to keep self sabotage in check. holding yourself accountable when it comes to anything you promise yourself - not letting anything slide .

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

hey boo, this is very true indeed. it's a fine line between not being too harsh to yourself and letting shit pass only to later bathe in self-pity. we need to hold ourselves accountable for the things we do have the ability to change.
