But when the Republicans are holding the government hostage, banning books, stacking the courts with conservative judges, and still not enacting legislation related to social justice, student loans etc, does it hurt us more or the politicians you didn't vote for who are still rich regardless? Now if you live in a more liberal area, you may feel safe but some of us have to fight.

we have to balance "holding them accountable" with making sure republicans don't take power, which would be WORSE for us. it's not the best position to be in at all, but yea withholding votes as this point only hurts us more.

I never disputed this. But our vote is our only legal way of holding them accountable lol

It's sad that we're basically stuck in this 2 party system. You aren't happy with one side, but you have no choice but to vote for them to keep the other side out. It's all by design.

They both benefit from the culture war bullshit. All the focus goes there instead of paying attention to the bidding they do for the rich.
