I know y'all were comparing cher's Christmas era to GHan ... I assume this thread is an extension of that

Cher clearly has more resources and a much larger fanbase to pull from.

If we're gonna compare GHan to others , compare her to her actual PEERS. See how Monica's next Christmas album does. Or myas.

You mean a peer like Neyo?, Motown didn't promote his Christmas mess either. Just because most of the rnb artists today doesn't treat their Christmas releases like anything special,  does not mean Brandy had to follow suit. Be a leader and a trendsetter.  Brandy could have the resources if she stops hiring her fucking fans to run her career. 

So many of Brandy's peers would actually kill to have some of her opportunities, and she's relaxing in the back of a Uber, I would live for that if it was actual tv ad with her music in the back.

Cher has clearly been at this longer than Brandy, but let's not forget bran is a gay icon too!

a lot of labels arent gonna push a whole bunch of resources into a SEASONAL album. one that only will have legs for 1-2 months.

notice, a lot of artists dont really do christmas albums - especially not on a regular basis. and if they do, it's treated like... a treat.

I remember Mary performed everywhere for her Christmas album. I mean at least 20 TV performances. She even did a Starbucks mini concert.

20 performances is pretty awesome. I'm sure she's content with her investment. I will have to look up some of  these performances today.
