I don't think it was unfair for them to bench him. He got benched for his diva like attitude and Sean Payton wasn't with the bullshit. That's the reality of the situation. In Seattle Pete Carroll entertained Russ's attitude and the coach that was in Denver last season was just the epitome of pussified. So they went and got Sean Payton who was the no bullshit type of coach. Russ fucked around and found out. Simple as that.
