It's great that it works like this for you, but it's not always the case.

Also when I say 'not a fan/stan', it doesn't necessarily mean that you dislike said person.

It can also mean indifference towards besides music.

Yeah, I can like their music and not be a STAN. But if I like their music, I'm def a fan.

There are artists that I'm indifferent to where I like just a handful of songs but they themselves aren't GREAT. Ciara for example
