A very weird time. I used to get nervous when they'd do interviews together cause the vibe was so tense.

I actually have a different recollection of that era. They actually had grown close after Mon's Still Standing era. Bran was at the BET Awards cheering Monica on and in interviews saying how she was inspired by her success.
Then Bran got signed to RCA where Mon already was and they started hanging out. I even remember Monica standing up for Bran against Megan Rochelle on Twitter when Megan was dissing Bran's version of "Betcha Didn't Know"
It was all good until Mon revealed that they really fought back in 98. Bran seemed really embarrassed and I think they slowly drifted apart after that
