U were/are loved goddess ❤️ rest in peace

Project started: 2014 Wrapped up: 2024

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

I love videos of Whitney dancing and singing in the audience during award shows. She was so supportive of other artists, it's amazing.

Oh she knew she had a gift from God. That's why she performed and recorded music. I think that is what made her different from other people. She was focused on her own craft and welcomes younger generations and other artists who are basically competition. Whitney was confident. I loved that she had a little bit of attitude in her interviews. She would throw shade, put people in their place but often with a smile on her face. :dead:
