the shade though

Tyra gets a lot of mess for the show now but i mean the show was about the modeling industry

its literally the most vain, superficial, cutthroat mess u could possibly enter

if anything i feel that ANTM was model industry LITE. cuz even from the first couple of seasons you had Tyra saying things like "curves are beautiful" , "everyone is beautiful in their own way"

things that you would never hear walking into a modeling agency during that time period.
and things that had Janice's mouth dropping and arguing with Tyra til they fired her. sfsfsffssssfsf

people kinda overlook that though. which is understandable i guess cuz even model industry LITE is still heartless and vain.

I was binge watching a lot of Oliver Twixt's ANTM interviews and I have yet to finish Tiffany's (Cycle 4), it's a lot. And I got to tune into Angelea's too. I forgot she won Cycle 17 and her prize was revoked due to her past as an escort allegedly.

This Nigerian knockout. I wanted her to win Cycle 12 if it wasn't going to be Teyona. Aminat has one of the BEST runway walks on the show.

I'm sorry but the modeling industry isn't ice cream & rainbows. It's cutthroat. Tyra was preparing them for the reality of that. She even mentioned it on the show from the beginning.

Of course Tyra is a mess and some of her methods were questionable, but the contestants could've left at any time or chosen not to participate.

Coming on the show was something many of them still chose to do AFTER watching the mess from previous seasons. So it's hard to feel sorry for them.
