good fckn luck, these were my bedtime stories..but, basically a post apocalyptic world where all the food had radiation and it was a colony of people and the 'wiseman' lives in a cave and no one sees him..he gives his orders through one guy(the main character)...who also never seen him, and he tells the people they can't eat the food because it's poison. But everyone is hungry. So the whole time you're wondering if this 'wiseman' even exists and if he's telling the truth about the food or what? Everyone blindly goes along with his orders because he's supposedly the oldest in the colony and survived the longest and has the wisdom... But they start getting antsy and asking questions and getting curious.. and some outsiders come and tell them it's all B.S, the food is safe, etc. It's a mindfuck, basically
in the end, the wiseman is actually a robot built by the previous wiseman who passed and is actually telling the truth and everyone that ate the food dies (everyone did except the one guy who kept the faith, the main character)
