I'm glad she's basically retired from music, acting and being pretty

Project started: 2014
Wrapped up: 2024

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

Her albums were good but her label never knew how to market her and I love she give Ashanti her flowers bout her writing game. Christina had a dope pen game especially during the So Amazing era

🔥🔥🔥

I agree her label never knew how to market her. She was a combination of Mya/Ashanti/Beyonce but I always felt her music was a bit subpar compared to the others imo. Dip It Low was great and she was headed in the right direction with So Amazin' and the music she was creating with The Dream. I still want that Dream In Color album she did with Interscope/MySpace.

honestly she had some good ass songs. From am to pm, when you look at me, dip it low, gonna tell everybody, and what was that comeback song of hers called? If the sun down and decided not to shine no mooooore

Her earlier music and videos gave J.Lo
Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...

FAMÈ

The-Dream gave her the best music she ever made. A shame it never seen the light of day.

AM to PM and When You Look at Me were kiddy to me offense. I did like AM to PM though. Get Away was my shit from her debut. Dip It Low drew me in and So Amazin' won me over.

Amazing

I don't care if it was Kidz Bop esque but I loved Am to PM and When You Look At Me.

Those two songs were huge in Europe.

Love Dip It Low, Get Away and Gonna Tell Everybody from her more adult songs.

Overall, better songs and albums on a consist basis would have helped her career.
