I been listening to her a lot lately and I remember us all saying her songs were too disposable but her catalogue is sooo diverse.

Yeah I don't think she's nervous about numbers/chart performance. She's just not serious about music anymore.

She's now made a VAST majority of her fortune outside of music.

And she's pushing 40 with kids.

Considering all this , being a hot pop star is understandably not at the top of her list of priorities right now.

It makes sense. I don't think she will ever say it flat out cuz it would devastate her fans. But inactions sometimes speak louder than words.

Whew what a career she had.
She hit it out the park on every level.

Hair (always like she experiments w it & by doing so she created more press for herself) the red hair had the girls hooked, the bob etc, fashion (got w great stylists who cultivated good looks that garnered her press), music (diverse body of work), and now business.
She was smart to see the changes in the industry and pivot out of it by creating successful businesses.
She's someone that should share her industry wisdom. Plus, I like how her last album was rolled out. Pics and the "finding her" part of the rollout was clever.
