it references all of them. if you're not using one of the specific models that specialize in mimicking a particular artists' voice, it generates the "type" of vocal that you promp. so if they want a female r&b vocal, it's gonna reference all the major/popular black female r&b artists. i'm not even sure they can control who's music the programmers can provide for their models to study. or hell, even if the programmers can control it what the models study.

I know y'all anti-ai but I don't have a problem with it. I actually like a couple ai songs. With that said y'all have to be idiots to think a record label will give millions for someone who uses prompts to write the lyrics. I'm almost willing to bet they are just going to use this girl and take her songs and give them to their other singers. Y'all know the industry is a vulture... In no time she's going to be nothing more than a writer on retainer

i can't prove how much she's written of the lyrics but i'll say that i think her concepts are what put the artist on the map.

she touches on some unique stuff.

i remember LovelyTi going in to listen with a VERY critical lens, ready to drag the AI gor and ended up somewhere crying

or i'd even replace the word "she's talented"  with "she's smart".

Diddy has been doing the same thing with real people for decades. Arguably "untalented" himself - but knowing what works, having a good ear and being innovative in the approach.

if she's been given millions, i'd say she deserves it. at the least, she's developed a product that resonates with masses, and companies are looking to cash in on a product with an already-established audience. this is actually how labels have always operated - especially in more modern times. i wouldn't say it's the same as paying someone a million dollars just because they created an AI artist that no one's listening to.

id argue what she's created is actually a product of artistic vision.

and the whole "real art" / "real music" conversation is such a slippery slope IMO.

remember: we have older generations swearing that more modern songs that have been drenched in autotune or anything that doesn't include "real" instrumentation isn't "real" music.

but many of us that was still art, it was still music that touched us.
