I had never actually watched this whole thing.
Just internet clips. We love humility but I found myself so annoyed watching this.



 Do we think that brandy is always so excited to be in the presence of these people or is it a lil disingenuous? I mean as much as I don't like Mariah she is a legend, I guess.  I just think I would love if Brandy's energy wasn't so "hey I just started singing yesterday". I would've loved for her to contribute more of her thoughts instead of just mirroring exactly what this other girl did.  More I BELONG HERE energy and less I'm just happy u decided to call me

Yeah I agree that her "humility" is sometimes overkill. However, I do think that her creativity is a process and she likes to be locked in with her trusted people and take her time. A lot of this seemed a little "on the spot".. Mariah does have strong opinions and direction creatively so I can understand a little "it's your song, I trust your feelings"

Mariah was probably my first fave when I was young around..95 or so. It was cool to see them together

Yeah this is exactly what I battle wit Brandy sometimes... her humility can come off as performative. Like girl at this point you been getting your respected flowers since the 2/11 era so you know you are loved and adored. Cut the act, yes still be humbled and respect that ppl praise you but save me the over sensitive, dramatic gestures at times

i get what you're saying, but at the same times celebs should be allowed to stan out as well so idk. i don't think she's necessarily thinking about her own career status in this moment. i think the little girl in her that's always stanned mimi is fully present and activated.
