i def noticed that within the past couple years i found myself spending a lot more time watching stuff on YouTube even though I had a whole got damn Hulu Live account, Netflix, etc.

which is crazy considering i kinda sorta "work" on YouTube so you probably would expect someone in that lane to wanna see less of it when they didn't have to be on there, and more of other apps. but nope, i still stay perched watching my favs.

fsnsfjjsfnjfsjfs

def got to the point where i was actually kinda FORCING myself to open the other apps just to make sure I was getting value out of having them around and not paying for nothing. and even then, I would open Hulu Live JUST to watch CNN.

i thought it was maybe just me...

but now seeing reports ( like this one https://digiday.com/marketing/in-graphic-detail-why-youtube-is-a-genuine-threat-to-netflix/ )  with stats coming out about how YouTube IS actually dominating and posing a real threat it makes sense. i def feel it in my own home. i see why Netflix is making moves like PULLING The Breakfast Club from YouTube to their platform (which kinda isn't working out from what I've seen..the gorls aren't migrating).

it's kinda crazy cuz Netflix kinda shot cable TV in the foot, grabbed its stresses and pounded its fuckin skull in while yellin "BITCH?!"....and now YouTube is kinda doing the same thing to Netflix. I see a lot of creators doing more live shows, etc. there's def a shift happening

i ended up downgrading my Hulu LIVE mess and getting the CNN standalone app. And honestly typing this now, I feel like an idiot for even still having my Netflix and Hulu at all cuz i literally NEVER open them. It's turning into the new cable TV for me...where people would keep cable around just cuz they were used to having it available. a "tradition" tea.

like it somehow doesn't feel "right" that you're only watching YouTube because that isn't what most recent tradition dictates but it's like BITCH that's what i wanna watch. sfnsfnsfnnfsfsnnsfnsfn shit

The definition

Streaming apps are gonna go down like cable, and for the same reason....they keep raising the prices and not giving value for money with their content

Kalifornia.

I canceled all my streaming services except Netflix, because I get a discount through my T-Mobile account.

I watch Youtube more than anything else. Like, 90% of my viewing is probably shit on Youtube. I have Youtube TV too.

YouTube isn't seeing Netflix. Maybe for the cheap gurls

I don't watch much of anything but I consistently watch stuff on YouTube if that makes sense. I'll put on YT for a few minutes every [other] day or so when something piques my interest. Our attention spans don't really allow for much more nowadays, so it makes sense that this is what the gp is reverting to.

I prob should cancel my Netflix, Hulu/Disney+, Apple TV, Paramount, and Peacock subscriptions, but I hate the idea of not being able to view something instantly. I see Prime Video is also starting to scale back on features that have been included with Prime membership, it's getting out of hand.
