I ran across this random comment on YouTube that makes a lot of sense

After it was shelved,Timbaland and Scott were begging Brandy to work with them on that track(especially on this part 3:13)for Afrodisiac because Timbaland wanted rawer and more upbeat Afrodisiac sound.There were released some studio sessions with Brandy on that track.Later they worked on Adios,Black Pepper and Horizons with similar sound to Keep It Movin.

It specifically refers to this part of the song starting at 3:11

That beat and bgv matches with press descriptions at the time ("hyper, bass-heavy track"), as well as Brandy's attempt at singing the lyrics ("Black Pepper...WHOA")

Idk if this was already well known but it is news to me.

Brandy could have given us a 20th anniversary Afrodisiac re-relase with Black Pepper and other unreleased Tim tracks that had to be scrapped for the Kanye tracks.
Mariah treats her lambs so well by releasing unreleased stuff officially.
