I guess what I'm trying to say is. The over the top expressions of shock at how she hits the big notes makes me respect her less, knowing that she is lip syncing. If she didn't act shocked while lipping I'd at least not feel second hand embarrassment while watching it.

I think the actions are because she's actually singing underneath the track. When singers lipsync they have to actually sing just in case the audio goes out

still makes no sense to me. You think she executed the notes well underneath the prerecorded vocal and is shocked at that? You'd think that'd make her turn on the mic for the next concert.
