Idk why but this has been on my mind a bit heavy

So earlier I was chatting with this lady and she was like "Where are you from" and I didn't really say anything then she was "I mean, what's your background" and I was like "Oh... I'm Ethiopian, my parents are from Ethiopia  " and she was like "Oh but you told me earlier you're from here like... America"

  I was like "Yea, I was born and raised here " Like bitch, i'm a citizen the fuck and she was like but you're not black like black black. I lowkey started to fume then she was like... yea, I could tell you weren't like African American and you're from somewhere else.

This isn't the first time I've had someone said some ignorant shit like this but I was sad to hear this from a sista... an older natural haired black woman. I thought she would be a bit more... smarter than that.
