Hip-Hop artists do it ALL the time...

Do you think if R&B artists came together on songs to give a fresh slay, would it add some attention/hype to R&B?

Mary, Faith, Keshia on one track?
Kelly, Brandy, Fanny on another?

Or even a Brandy, Miguel, Chris slay?

No I don't think it is about the collaboration anymore, it is more about the song

Music goes in and out of these collab modes. I think these types of collabs will come back in style again though

There's still a lot of songs with features on the top of the Billboard charts. I honestly think coming together would help spark interest.  I wish it could be all about the music, but radio doesn't play a lot of good music.  It's all about name recognition and who's hot at the moment. Adding star power to a song that already sounds hot would definitely help.  But I think r&b artists think that's not authentic or something.

R&B needs top producers and songwriters again to want to genre to become mainstream again

But yeah that Tweet Fanny and Mon mess really made me want RnB acts to slay together like HipHop Artists do

more hot collabs more often would get more attention, for sure.
the problem these latest years, imo, is that the music and collabs havent really been that hot. So the general audience just doesnt care anymore
