You know tho...
BLM is more than just white cops killing black men.

To me, it's about black men and women knowing that their lives matter in general.
And that they have the capabilities to thrive in society.
Sometimes limited resources plays a role, but the community needs to build from within.

I honestly feel that we need more powerful black leaders in our community.

It's just crazy how powerful the white establishment is when you think about it...it affects every level.

I remember my dad told me once he only hired white secretaries for his office (this was in the 80's 90's) And, if my mom happened to come to the office to help, he stuck her in the back.  :dead:

He said he wanted a white face at the front desk because it was bad enough that he was brown and foreign.

:uhh:

And the sad thing is I totally get why he felt he had to do that.
I know a Black landlord that throws any rental application from a Black person in the trash.

smh
I mean I'm ashamed to say that when I worked at Nordstrom once, I would ignore Indian customers and go running to white ones. Indians have the money but they won't spend it on clothes. I worked on commission. a bitch needed a check.
I've noticed that Indians are very stingy with their Benji's. sdsdnsdnndsnsd
some groups of Asians as well. they want every penny accounted for.
can't blame them tbh

!!  :dead:

But what's crazy is that all minorities are really just trying to survive or thrive in a white man's world.

It's amazing to me how one group of people has managed to pull this off.
When I go to India...I get discriminated against by my OWN people  :uhh:

My family was waiting for a taxi at a hotel and these Germans were behind us and the doorman went running to let THEM in the cab...they fucking paid us dust.  :dead:

You should see the way they talk to them "Oh Madame! Sir! Yes Sir!"

And to us they're like:  :raycharles2urmess:

I mean yes.
There are 12% AA in the United States.

But there is room to thrive and build from that community.
Having the resources is key. Leadership. Guidance. Teamwork.

Approximately 12?13% of the American population is African-American, but they make up 35% of jail inmates, and 37% of prison inmates of the 2.2 million male inmates as of 2014 (U.S. Department of Justice, 2014).

I hate this statistic.

It should be 37% are lawyers, doctors, business owners... just something else.
It hurts a lot -- cause as I move forward in my career... I'm not seeing a lot of my own... and it's difficult, there's some things I go through... and it just hurts. Never breaks me down or stops me... but it hurts.

There's strength in numbers. And that's my ultimate goal going forward.
We have to start building from within.

I don't care. Sick of having to pandering to white people's fears and their misunderstanding/ignorance of issues

hotep.

White people would just say "They already matter, stop being dramatic"

I think if it were all lives matter poor white people would have ended up the face of the movement with sprinkles of Blacks.

I think like this sometimes
like how about if it was "Black lives matter TOO"
but really there's just no way they'll get it
they're in power so they dont even care to
