He didn't understand the term 'hypocrite' or something, but I didn't say much when I was younger cause he was paying my rent while I moved away to another city 

But seriously. Do what you want. Because next thing you know you'll be 30 and realize you spent your youth trying to please others. I was fortunate enough to escape my parents GRASP and influence at about 22 but everyone isn't so lucky. For those who have overbearing and heavily involved parents that is.
