I'm over it.
I refuse to buy into the panic, as well. People are acting like the world as we know it is over. I think alot of Trump's hateful rhetoric was just a tactic to tap into a resource the Democrats left wide open: uneducated, bigoted rural white people.
Trump connected with them, empowered them, and inspired them to actually go out and vote.
Prior to this election many of those people probably never even voted before. Some of them probably have a fifth grade education.
Sure, they'll be smug and I would stay out of there way for a while...but ultimately these are people who don't matter. The people who do matter, the upwardly mobile, educated whites, will not allow this to happen again. I can assure you of that.
We just have to ride it out, I guess.
