There was so much potential

Wills new powers, All the slayers awakening, Angel coming back

Yeah I wish Joss would have did one more season but he decided to continue it in the comic instead. His plan didnt really work out well.

Lowkey, season 5's finale should have been the series finale, as it was intended.  Except we would've never had Dark Willow.

They released comic books that followed the after math of Season 7. I think Season 8 or 9 Giles was killed by Angel, Buffy had a girlfriend, Dawn was a giant and Amy (the cheerleader turned into the rat) was the big bad along with the FBI. All the new slayers became watchers fighting new vampires etc in Asian, Europe and South America.
