If you hadn?t noticed by now, it?s certainly The Weeknd?s week and in the midst of all the promotion, we?ve learned a rather big nugget of news about the chart-topper and it involves Drake.

During a new interview with Beats 1, Abel Tesfaye spoke about Drizzy and how vital of a figure he was for his career. ?He came in as my big bro and showed the world what I could do,? The Weeknd explained. ?From then on, he?s always been supporting me and I?ve always been supporting him. Behind the scenes, we?re still very close but it?s cool that the world can see us doing our own thing. OVO/XO will always be there.?

It?s that kind of back and forth support that has created a brotherhood between the hip-hop titans and led to talk about even more collaborations. ?It?s cool to have both monsters work together as opposed to one monster and one little guy coming in. It?s dope, like Kanye and Jay Z, when [Watch the Throne] happened,? the 26-year-old added.

Asked about a potential collaborative LP similar to Watch the Throne, the hitmaker said, ?Maybe. Why not??

Despite the whispers of a feud between the pair, it?s clear that The Weeknd is one to embrace support and, more importantly, remember it down the line. Drake?s reign over 2016 has remained strong and the thought of a joint album between him and The Weeknd just screams goldmine. But when you have the number one album on iTunes in over 80 countries, it ain?t all about the moneys. Either way, the love is real. Just take a look below!
