Another legendary artist has been added to the star-studded list of attendees for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Cher will be receiving the Icon Award at this year's show, Dick Clark Productions and ABC announced Thursday (May 4). During her appearance, Cher will sing her biggest hit, "Believe," which marks her first awards show performance in over 15 years.

The "Believe" singer joins an esteemed list of past award recipients, which include Celine Dion, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond. But with more than 20 million albums sold worldwide and a No. 1 single in every decade from the 1960s to the 2010s (not to mention, she was the first artist to have a No. 1 single on a Billboard chart in each decade), Cher has certainly earned such an honor.

"I'm honored to receive the 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award and take the stage to celebrate my love of music with my fans," Cher said in a statement. "Seeing so many powerful artists -- especially female artists emerge and take their place in history through the years  has been incredible. I'm honored to be amongst the previous ICON Award winners and to celebrate this milestone achievement by performing 'Believe' on the show."

The Billboard Music Awards will air May 21 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
