NBC dominated Tuesday ratings with the premiere of its flagship summer show ?America?s Got Talent? and a strong showing from new series ?World of Dance.?
?AGT? premiered to a 2.6 rating in adults 18-49, even with last season?s debut, and 12.07 million viewers, up from 11.67 million last year. ?World of Dance? held onto most of its lead-in, scoring a 2.4 and 9.75 million viewers ? well up from the 1.6 and 6.26 million viewers for ?Maya & Marty? in the same spot last year.
Those impressive ?World? numbers were good enough to make J. Lo?s new show the top premiere for a summer alternative series in five years, and the most-watched in nine. The show is actually now the biggest regular time slot premiere in all of 2017.
It certainly didn?t hurt that ?Talent? got off to its most-watched start in six years.
