honestly I think part of the reason is he doesn't work with Kevin McCall anymore. he wrote a lot of great shit for him during his comeback mess, along with Eric Bellinger who stopped using cuz chris would never return favors 

And I don't even think Sevyn writes for him much anymore. Like ...

I don't think it has anything to do with any of that. 

"Liquor" and "Back To Sleep" are just as strong as any of that stuff Kevin was writing.

Chris is just not in the right state of mind, and he's on drugs.

But Chris has had a lot of great material post Kevin and Sevyn.  "New Flame", "Loyal", "Love More", etc. 

I think it literally is just the drugs.

Once he started popping pills and doing lean, he just seems really different now.  And it has taken a huge toll on his looks. 

Cocaine Chris could still create amazing music.  Lean and pills have ruined his life. 

I feel sad for him, because he needs help.
