Yeah what i read is each individual McDonald's gets to decide if they want to do biscuits or mcmuffin based sandwiches ... I didn't know about the hashbrowns though  that's messed up

Clearly hash browns are on every menu regardless of area and time. Biscuits and Mcmuffins are the only thing that is a choice by the location. You must have had a Watermelondrea working and she didn't feel like dropping them
in the fryer. Better luck next time:)
