I put a funny label on it, but it's intense

I definitely agree with you, to an extent

but many of us know what "black" is. I mean, black is our culture here in the states, it's our music....it's our STRUGGLE, it's getting shot down by police officers. It's still fighting for equal rights long after the CR movement. I'm all for black pride, whether or not the person claiming it knows their African roots or not. better them claiming black pride than acting like they see a white person when they look in the mirror.

I don't think genealogy is for everyone. some people honestly don't care. but bear in mind, MLK didn't take an Ancestry test before he changed history. I'll never side eye anyone who doesn't want to dig deeper. but I totally get what you're saying twinny.

You dont have be all downtrodden to understand and embrace your roots (speaking for anybody that isnt white).

The ones who are musically pretentious are gross too.

Both sides annoy me to be honest.

People who like to pretend Black Americans are a bunch of cultureless lost puppies that need Africa to feel whole. It's like Blacks in America are the only ones who get that treatment.

And then those people who are just plain ignorant to Africa and black history before Trans Atlantic Slavery and are proud of their ignorance.
