It's crazy how gay men are always accused of being "superificial" when men are generally that way as a whole. It's women who will seek out mates based on things that transcend appearance -- mainly they look for men who will be able to provide for them and their (future) children as well. Look at Beyonce. Many people wonder(ed) "Girl, you coulda had any trade in the world, why him?"
Also, look at Janet and Jermain Dupri. You guys dog her out on here, but her name has always been synonomous with sex appeal. This is why people were quite dumbfounded when she ended up with someone who doesn't quite have the same allure. LOL
Men, however, base a lot of their decisions on appearance. This is why we see many wealthy, successful men who date and marry these beautiful women who usually have nothing to their resume or life besides being pretty. LOL. History tells us that this is really all you need to grab you a balla.
So to pinpoint one community and accuse us of being excessively visual makes absolutely no sense. It makes perfect sense that a community which is exclusively comprised of such visual creatures as men would be very "shallow".
