Jael Strauss, a former contestant on the TV series America?s Next Top Model, has sadly passed away at the young age of 34 following a battle with breast cancer.

The model, who appeared on the eighth season of the series, died on Tuesday morning (December 4) while in hospice.

Jael was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer on October 2 and went public with her diagnosis in a heartbreaking post on Facebook.

?I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer,? she wrote to her friends. ?It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable. With treatment it may prolong my life longer than the ?few months? doctors said I could make it. I don?t want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013.?

Jael stopped chemotherapy around Halloween and went into hospice on Thanksgiving, according to TMZ.
