so I have a few issues with this track
the production the vocals and now the video all clash
the production is a pop tea
the vocals are an acoustic tea
and the video gives indie art film
she should have pulled back from this acoustic whispering in your ear (wanna be brandy) vocals and gave a cute normal vocal
you can tell the lyrics were written to this track and not made for it
her lil pauses and refrains and redundant chord and adlibs choices scream forced (and she was on oprah saying she was forcing shit so we know its possible)
this isnt a song you sing in a club or whatever so her performing it doesn't translate well on film
2 songs that got the vocal to line up with this style of production
Both of these tracks are mixed in line with the production
the full dynamics are present
the high end is clear
the song flows without odd instrumental breaks and badly timed switches in instrumental
everything about this song production, writing and video is amateur
i can only assume this was done on a budget producer mixing and video production
this version is different from the one that was presented a few months ago
clearly they heard the mess and got real mastering done of it
video version is much tighter but still
but its catchy
