A piece of Vogue history is going under the hammer; this Thursday, Steven Meisel's photograph of Naomi Campbell for the March 2019 cover will be auctioned at Phillips in London.

For the cover, which Phillips estimates could sell for as much as £45,000, Meisel used multiple exposures and varied lighting, rather than after-the-fact colour work, to produce the triplicate image of Campbell.
