You know...a very frustrating thing to watch is how people like us engage with American politics. When stuff like this happens, it's typical for the black response to attacks to be rooted in emotion. I get that, we are a very emotional people given our background in this country. But sometimes I wonder when, or are we ever gonna switch it up and weaponize our emotions? It would require us to shift from an emotional response to a logical one. Because that's what other groups are doing.
Trump along with congress passed the JUST Act for Jewish descendants of the holocaust. They just approved 4.5 billion dollars to assist people dealing with border issues, and the Hispanic caucus and similar bodies are pushing for MORE. Trump also passed an executive order for the economic empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. I'm sitting here thinking like well shit, what are black Americans getting? Where are our so-called advocates in government who are supposed to be lobbying on our behalf? Why aren't any of our so-called black leaders encouraging us to engage this system strategically to get tangibles for our survival??
