A Georgia teen was sentenced to life in prison for strangling his sister to death during an argument over a WiFi password.

According to PIX11 News, Kevin Watkins,18, was arguing with his mother and sister over the WiFi password on Feb 2, 2018. The argument started after his mother discovered that he changed the password to play his video games so no one else could use the internet. His 20-year-old sister, Alexus, intervened after fearing that her brother might attack their mother when the argument escalated quickly.

The siblings began to fight and Watkins held his sister in a chokehold for 15 minutes.

Authorities reported that Watkins still had his sister in a chokehold when they arrived at the scene. They attempted to perform CPR after Watkins let go but she was pronounced dead later that night at a hospital.


The teen was found guilty of felony murder after waiving his right to a jury trial and testified in front of a Bibb County judge.

I'll never ask for a home WiFi code again in my life.
