If Nickis success was the stimuli for a new wave of talent, it wouldn't have taken 10 years to catch on. If a label wanted to mimic her success and capitalize on interest in female rappers, they wouldnt have waited for interest in her to fizzle out. Striking while the iron is hot doesn't take a decade. Clearly something else happened for these girls to become more visible and not just in terms of contracts. Cardi happened.

Nicki got these bitches signed after proving female rap was in demand again. Period

City girls got signed to QC in 2017. The same year Cardi got signed to Atlantic and debuted. So again who are the girls that go deals after her besides Megan?

Because last I checked most if not all of the rap girls are independent except Malibu and Dreamdoll and they've yet to release an album or single.
