Billboard has announced the nominees for this year's Billboard Live Music Awards, Nov. 5 at the Montage in Beverly Hills.

As we enter the new decade, Billboard is changing the way it presents its awards and working on a long-term revamp of its award categories and it the methodology behind how the awards are chosen. That means two significant changes for this year's awards, the first being a change to the format of the awards ceremony. Billboard is moving the awards outdoors to the event space on the fourth floor terrace of the Montage, and ditching the banquet style set up and replacing it with an interactive networking event and party, similar to the Billboard Power 100 party and other events Hip Hop Power Players and Nashville Power Players.

To accomodate the change in format, Billboard has also reduced the number of awards it will hand out this year, from 21 awards in 2018 to just 10 awards this year. It's a temporary change as we develop our new format with the goal or being more inclusive with new initiatives to honor cross-section of the music industry.

Comedian Roy Wood Jr. from The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will return this year to host Billboard Live Music Awards, bringing his "charismatic crankiness" to the star-studded evening, that includes top honors for P!nk, the female solo artist to accept Billboard's Legend of Live Award, as well as Billboard's first ever Tour of the Year award. Also being honored is Hootie and the Blowfish, who will accept Billboard's first ever Tour of the Summer award for the success of their 2019 Group Therapy tour.
