Just watched the video

Her goofy expression in the pic kinda threw me off ... but obviously judging by the video she wasn't joking.

There is a certain level of "ewww" that Black people give when certain hair is at the center of conversation

This brings me back to the H&M mess. The messy look was inappropriate for the Black girl with kinky hair but no one said anything about the fly aways on the mixed girls hair and the "just got let outta school at 3PM after playing all day" look the White kids were giving as well.

I'm torn on this mess because I def feel some type of way about the way about the undertones to conversation and comments when it comes to particular Black hairstyles but this Summer girl has been at the center of jokes about her hygiene for about a week now.

And these conversations always touch me and easily offend me because I see what it does to Black women's self esteem. And when my sisters are hurting I take that personally
