I'm not a credit card gorl, but I'm thinking of getting one for the purpose of purchasing flights, the points I can accumulate...

I did when I was working in London.. I loved it because it's so easy to book a  reward flight mess.

flying business   and only paying the tax bit 

and these days you can pay anything with the card..damn near your rent too
its so easy to collect the points.

if you're going to go to New York.. check the rates with Norwegian. they fly from Gatwick to JFK
and you can fly upper class at almost no expense.
