The site will be maintained and OWNED by POC.. Rocky Bucano and Kurtis Blow... they started building it 8 years ago and now have funding that'll really put it on the map.

Rocky appears to be a Latino of color and Kurtis is African American so it's perfect that they're at the helm if this is really about digging into the roots of the culture
cuz hip-hop was literally the result of a collabo between Latinos and Blacks in the Bronx

And it's a grant, not a loan. Meaning they will not be in major debt
AND will maintain their creative control to make sure the narratives and representations are on fucking point.

this is fucking amazing. I'm so happy for them. What a triumph.

I didn't  know the whites were fuming( who cares fuck em) I seen a Black influence fuming and sharing and said it was most likely gonna be white owned. So I'm happy to hear this? I read the article but I guess I missed that part.
