Glad to see Disney introducing more black, dark skinned princesses into the legacy.

does that count as Black?

Black is a race. Not a nationality.
Race is based on the color of the skin. Not which city or territory you're from.
You're questioning her race based on the scenery and costume.

So, yes.

I asked the question because ppl who are Hawaiian aren't widely called "black"
so for me to see a person say Black describing them in the thread
it made me curious to ask why they did. Not a lecture on race
and especially when many ppl in Hawaii have Asian ancestry
which would mean they could be considered of the "Mongoloid" race
not just Black or "Negroid"

Black is generally used to describe African Americans a lot of times.
It's context is so subjective though. In America we generally use Black to describe AA's. But that's not the only way it's used. By a long shot.
