Somebody has definitely been lying cuz according to the vibe magazine cover issue she was already in rehearsals for the video and then all of a sudden , the record execs wanted her to go in wit Kanye and everything changed? Naw, Tim deleted the song after he didn't have the lead single and  control over the direction of the album period

I don't want to think tim deleted it cause st the time he coulda used it for someone else.  He at least should have the instrumental for it still you know ??

I don't think they lost it.  It's on a drive or cdr somewhere.


There was an interview sometime in the last 5 years where bran says someone stole the cd out her car that had black pepper on it when she got her car washed or something like that

Brandy is lying about everything that happened that era. That's my opinion and always has been.

Bran never knows what happened or tells a half truth lol but for it to be the main girl, why would the song just be lost or taken off???? I'm sure it was better than Sadiddy chile.

Also, Bran didn't write at all on this album???? It kinda makes me look at her differently like girllll what did u really want to sing about? Did you even believe the words u were singing in those songs. Maybe she just gave concepts or scenarios of what she wanted to say but the album seems too personal for her not to have at least one writing credit.

I love Candice "GG" Nelson.... her vocals on the Timbaland & Magoo song are so haunting.

I would be so happy if she worked with Brandy again on something produced by Timbaland

Also, someday Brandy is going to release a "B-Sides, Rarities & Other Stuff" album and Black Pepper will be the lead single.... Mariah wishes she could. The nostalgia and multiple decades of hype some of these songs have.

Candice explained to me that they would write & record really rough drafts in one room while Brandy records in another, as soon as she was done with 1 record she'd get a new rough demo & take it to her room to put her spin on it.   She said most times she'd flip the arrangement & when they heard it back it was a completely new song with the lyrics they had wrote.   She only remembers it being uptempo... She also says it's the only song she didn't get a copy of.
