that's debatable they both sound beautiful in different ways. Whereas Bruno's tone is ugly, nasal and whiny which is why it's not a valid comparison

I agree that there are certain elements that make up a pop song (I.e. catchy hooks, etc.) but any style that becomes popular at the time usually is considered pop in addition to whatever root genre it is. R&B was huge in the 90s so many people would include an act like Boys II Men in an R&B AND pop category

Sure, he has songs that is a clear inspiration of old school R&B, but he's pop to me.
