I just don't think there's anything genuine about it. I feel like he was forced out of the closet and is capitalizing off of it instead of having it end him or dissuade him from pursuing his career further. Sexually charged! Hellbound! He's just a kid I guess, but I'm looking for a more decent catalyst. All of it feels self centered to me unless he's actually somewhere advocating for gay rights outside of pushing stereotypes about us to be the talk of Twitter next week. That's my gripe and it has nothing to do with "self hate!"

For the record, I LOVE Lil Nas X. And Im looking forward to his music a lot. And I actually really liked his SNL performance of the song. The BET performance, I just didn't like. He just didnt have great stage performance here. If he did, I would've loved it. Has nothing to do with me loving myself
