SL is just iconic for the dance and leotard. Formation was a whole ass movement.
!!!

it was/is an EXPERIENCE.

not just a "music video". something that not only was beautifully and flawlessly executed, but caused quite the stir and sparked a lot of conversation.

SL could never.

it def deserves that #1 spot.

So this was the only music video to cause a "stir"? Because I can think of a dozen other more controversial/iconic videos off the top of my head

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

I think the fact that SL is such a simple visual and had that type of impact makes it more iconic then Formation.

And what movement? I'm sure the same girls that were screaming  "okay ladies now let's get in formation" 2016 were singing "if he liked it then she put a ring in it" 2008.

All fumes may be submitted to Rolling Stone

This is what I'm not understanding. The gorls are attacking the wrong people, go write your fumes to the RS editors

It's easy to make a "controversial" video but to make a controversial video without sex, drugs, or violence? Only Bey can do that.

You said you can think of at least a dozen more iconic/controversial videos, right? Name 5 of them. You have 2 minutes.
