A fundraiser for Shaun King is seeking donations to help move his family out of their New Jersey home after photographs of the house were published online by news outlets.

The controversial activist stated in a social media post that he is being forced to move from the $842,000 property, per a report from Atlanta Black Star. King's Instagram page has since gone private and his Twitter profile was taken down.

An image of King's home was first published by The New York Post, who in late July reported that the 3,000-square-foot abode is located in North Brunswick, New Jersey. The house includes five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen with a backyard situated on a lakefront. It was purchased in November in the name of Rai-Tonicia King, Shau King's wife, according to the outlet.

King, his wife and their five children previously lived in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to the New Brunswick home.

King posted to his social media that for safety reasons, he decided to move out of the New Jersey house, Atlanta Black Star reported.

"Today, I've had to make a heartbreaking decision," King stated. "After a combination of Fox News, the NY Post, and other outlets posted pictures of my home across the Internet, we've now seen our address posted all over the internet. Strangers have already started coming by the house. My kids can't even go outside and play during the final month of summer break. So, we're moving."

I get that, but they may not have anticipated moving again so soon. Who knows how much of their income they invested only to have to turn around and move again, especially if the new house hasn't been sold.

Idk his situation so I'm trying not to judge, but I definitely feel like people are doing the most over this basic ass house.

Tamir Rice's mom rips Shaun King for profiting off her son's death



Tamir Rice's mom slammed Shaun King in a scathing social media post, calling him a self-centered person who can't be trusted – and "a white man acting black."

Samaria Rice was apparently set off by King publishing details of a conversation they had, after she previously blasted King and others, accusing them of benefitting from the death of her 12-year-old son, who was shot by Cleveland police while playing with a toy gun.

"Why do you think its so important to tell folks we had a conversation," Rice wrote in an Instagram post addressed to King.

"Well we talked and everything that was said was very toxic and uncomfortable for me to hear that you raised additional money and then say you did not want to bother me. Personally I don't understand how you sleep at night," she wrote.

"I never gave you permission to raise nothing," Rice went on. "Along with the united states, you robbed me for the death of my son."

King had posted an episode of his podcast under the title "I spoke to Samaria Rice this past week," but the episode appears to have been removed from his website.

"It was a much-needed conversation," he wrote on the page for the episode. "I learned a lot. Listened a lot. Shared my heart. And pledged we would continue to fight to get justice and accountability for Tamir."

Samaria Rice started the Tamir Rice Foundation in 2017, three years after the death of her son. Rice and King apparently fell out over King's fundraising efforts in the name of Tamir.

In a post on his website Tuesday, King outlined how he had raised a total of about $125,000 through several fundraisers and didn't receive a penny for his efforts. He also had nothing to do with disbursement of the money, he stated.

Well tbf Tamir rices mother said she spoke to Shaun a few times but then then turns around and she's she's never spoken to him a day in her life but she also said he sent her a $60k check, previously he said it was $100k a few years ago but there was some legal mess that some of the money was tied into.
She's also asked BLM groups to stop using her sons name for protesting/marches and wants to DOJ to re-open her sons case but to avail and seems be taken that out on people

He does a lot but he's also gotten a lot of campaigning and gotten. A a lot prominent people of colour voted into office
So I'm conflicted
