Do we have a problem with her identifying as part of the Black community?
I remember recently there was a thread about a Blasian woman receiving backlash because she said her business was Black owned.
I don't think we would have ever heard of that blasian store owner if it were not for the way she LOOKS.
Unfortunately for her that's a big deal in America
I didn't see how she was singled out until I saw her pic . She looks more Asian than anything else .
Her look and that "black owned" sign on her storefront is what landed her on social media . She said that when she told the customers "my father looks just like u!" They laughed at her .
They just weren't buying it cuz of her phenotype . Which sucks but it's real shit
I can guarantee you if a blasian like Apryl Jones or Tatyana Ali ran that store no one would have cared . Cuz they give "black girl but I think she may be mixed with something"
I didn't even believe GODyana was mixed until Malcolm shoved receipts down my throat. Wr argued for two or three pages straight on it . I just saw her as a pretty black girl.
But once I knew her background I def could see it in her .
Looks are everything in this damn country .
Amerie wouldn't have had that problem. MAYBE but I doubt it. U can see she's black.
